This Privacy Policy explains what information CareerAI (operated by K Solutions LLC) collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. By using CareerAI, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: your email address and password (stored securely by Supabase Auth; we never see your password in plain text).
• Content you submit: LinkedIn profile text (headline, About section, experience bullets), resume PDFs and the text extracted from them, and job descriptions you paste in for analysis.
• Analysis results: the scores, feedback, and rewrite suggestions generated for you, stored so you can view your history.
• Billing information: if you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes and stores your payment details. We only receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — we never see or store your card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate the AI analyses you request
• Maintain your account and analysis history
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Enforce free-tier usage limits and prevent abuse
• Improve and maintain the Service

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with service providers who help us operate CareerAI:

• Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
• OpenAI — receives the profile text, resume text, and job descriptions you submit in order to generate your analysis. OpenAI processes this data to return a result but does not use it to train their models under our account settings.
• Stripe — processes subscription payments and stores your payment method.

We do not share your content with other users or use it for advertising.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data, uploaded resumes, and analysis history until you delete your account. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us — we will delete your data within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain billing records for legal or tax purposes.

5. Your Rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data by contacting us at kavyakannan101@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA, which we will honor on request.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and row-level database access controls that restrict your data to your own account. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

CareerAI is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
